The Arkansas Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) allows Arkansas citizens to inspect and obtain copies of public records or public meetings unless an exception applies. FOIA requests may be made by telephone, mail, email, or fax. Arkansans wishing to submit a FOIA request to the Department of the Military may mail the request to the address below or email the request to FOIADOTM@arkansas.gov .

FOIA requests must be specific as to the information sought. Once received, government entities usually have three business days to provide the requested information.

Public agencies are not required to compile information in a format other than how it is normally maintained, and the Department of the Military may charge for the actual cost of reproducing public records and mailing expenses, if applicable.
